Airodek prop and panel system formed each slab quickly and safely
RMD Hobart supplied up to 1,600m2 of Airodek high productivity soffit system for the construction of the first floor of the Channel Court Shopping Centre located at Kingston. 1,600m2 was enough equipment to cater for two concrete pours. The organizing of the equipment from other RMD branches, and the logistics to get the items to site on time, was quite a task. With materials to come from Launceston, Adelaide, and Melbourne, the teamwork within the branch network was invaluable in meeting deadlines.
After the first couple of pours, the client was cycling 2 weeks per pour. The slabs being, post tensioned allowed for the early stripping of the system, and back propped where possible.
Formed each slab quickly and safely
In total there were ten pours of various sizes and the Airodek prop and panel system formed each slab quickly and safely, the contractor, Stephen Little Constructions Pty Ltd was very happy with how Airodek performed. With Airodek being a success on this project, I am sure Stephen Little Constructions will look to use the system again on another suitable project.
Airodek equipment could be used elsewhere on the project
RMD also supplied SuperTube plus for the circular columns between floors, and Alshor Plus shoring system for the back propping so that Airodek equipment could be disassembled and used elsewhere on the project whilst the concrete was curing.
