Ryvita Project
Rock Form Pty Ltd was the sub-contractor used for the Ryvita Project to construct 155 student rooms in three locations in and near Camperdown, in Sydney. They were chosen by the builder, Ceerose Property Group.
During the construction Rock Form decided to compare different slab formwork systems, with a view to purchase the one that performed the best. The project consisted of four buildings, each with 6 to 10 levels, which were constructed concurrently by three different slab formwork suppliers.
RMD Sydney supplied the innovative Airodek soffit system for one building and RMD’s Strongshor frames were used for another. Peri and Farisen supplied their slab formwork for the other two buildings. When the construction was completed. RMD Australia’s Airodek soffit system proved to be the fastest and the most versatile system and consequently a large sale of Airodek was made to Rock Form.
Airodek is an innovative and safe soffit system, that is easily erected from the ground. Its a system of lightweight aluminium panels and adjustable props, which means it has 30% less weight and 40% fewer parts than conventional steel props and timber and 25% less weight than other systems using primary beams and panels.
